Tathagat Heart Care Center’s ICD and Pacemaker Clinic provides professional medical services to patients with implanted cardiac devices (ICD) such as implanted pacemakers, biventricular pacemaker, implanted cardiac defibrillators and implanted loop recorders. We work with some of the best device makers to ensure that the devices and software are highly efficient and provide all the relevant data to our cardiovascular specialists to help them effectively manage each patient.

Our nursing staff is highly trained in monitoring patients with ICDs and work directly with the experienced cardiologists and electrophysiologists of Tathagat Heart Care Center. The device clinic is fully equipped to monitor every patient and their device individually based on the patient’s and their device’s specific needs.

Polypharmacy is the simultaneous use of 5 or more medications. The impact of these medications on patients often changes drastically with age. The risk of adverse effect of drugs in such cases increases by 50%, and may increase to 100% in patients who take more than 7 chronic medications. For cardiologists, the challenge is to prioritize and reduce adverse effect of drugs and optimize the quality of life for an older patient.
